I was in Zimbabwe last August, and met a few times with Blessings Sibanda, who is continuing her education at the University in Bulawayo. She is doing a degree in Hospitality, with the goal of getting a position at a safari lodge in Zimbabwe. With her intelligence, conscientiousness and ambition, she is doing very well. She is now looking for a position as an intern. I helped her to polish up her CV. When she has finished this, she has her final exams to complete, and then will be in a very good position to find a good job. I am so proud of her! She has overcome a very difficult childhood, with only one indifferent parent; fortunately she has grandparents in Matopo who were willing, despite their meager means and advanced age, to take her in. Our project, which started in 2005, has been a huge support for her, as she was one of the scholarship girls who made it all the way through the six years of secondary school, with flying colours.
